Some see that the origin of the Amazigh originates in Europe, based on linguistic and human data suggesting that the Amazigh man is a gaulois or is associated with the Vandal who had colonized North Africa
- Local origin
Some are based on ancient archeology and art reports that the first human being was found in history in some parts of Africa. Thus, the Amazigh man did not emigrate to North Africa but was found there from the beginning.
Arabic origin
Another trend is to connect the inhabitants of this area with the Mashreq and the Arabian Peninsula, where they have been displaced from there to North Africa as a result of climatic and other wars or fluctuations.
- The origin of Canaanite
The historian Abdurrahman Ibn Khaldun tends to consider Amazigh as Canaanites who were born Canaan, son of Ham, son of Noah, peace be upon him. The Canaanites are not Arabs, and they are not sons of Sam.
